1) Cleaning Preparation

Like all projects if you do the preparation it makes the job so much easier and in doing a thorough End of Tenancy Clean this is certainly the case.

Unique Cleaning created an End of Tenancy Cleaning Checklist, which covers all of the rooms, which need cleaning and all of the areas, which need to be cleaned thoroughly.

For example:

Bedrooms – Carpets/Flooring, walls, door and frames, wardrobes, radiators, light switches, dado rails, windows and frames, window sills, desks, light and skirting boards.

Bathroom – Carpets/Flooring, walls, door and frames, radiators, light switches, windows and frames, window sills, light and skirting boards.

Kitchen – Carpets/Flooring, walls, door and frames, cupboards, drawers, oven and extractor, white goods, radiators, light switches, dado rails, windows and frames, window sills, table and chairs, light, kick panels and skirting boards.

Dining Room – Carpets/Flooring, walls, door and frames, desk, cupboards, drawers, radiators, light switches, dado rails, windows and frames, window sills, desks, light and skirting boards.

Utility Room – Carpets/Flooring, walls, door and frames, desk, drawers, radiators, light switches, dado rails, windows and frames, window sills, desks, light and skirting boards.

Hall – Carpets/Flooring, walls, door and frames, radiators, light switches, dado rails, windows and frames, window sills, desks, light and skirting boards.

Entrance – Door and frame, lights, glass and windows.

The great thing with having this checklist is that it allows you to double check that you have cleaned all of the rooms and separate areas.
